What I've learned in {{2012}}

Hello Lovelies!

It's finally New Years Eve and yours truly is stuck at work.....until 6pm that is :P I will be going to Church with my family and then going out with friends around 10. What will you be doing to bring in the new year?

so it's that time again to reflect on what I've learn in 2012. it's quite simple actually I have learned to take risks, it has also made me realize that I rather have a ton of "what if's" than a million "could of's". This year has been so so not too bad and not too good I had two surgeries this year one was for the cyst removal in my Fallopian tube along with that right tube (yes I can still have kids) and I had my Lap band surgery which was one of my most accomplished you can read about the surgery here! which currently has be down to 36 lbs :D so that is certainly the best kind of thing to happen to me this year other than that I've also learned that life is too short to hold a grudge and to be mad especially if it's someone you love, you never know what can happen in the blink of an eye you might (God forbid) be mad at your parents, siblings, spouse etc and something can happen to them and what will you be left with?....all that hate and regret of not patching things up with. I wasn't talking almost a year ago we had previously bumped heads, he didn't agree or approved of the choices me and my brother were making and my dad has always been a hard headed always! and well I had decided to stop talking to him just because I could not stand getting let down by him all the time and that's what happened pretended he didn't exist in my life.

(me, our Dad, Carlitos)

Until one day one of my friends dad had an accident and almost died, she almost had that same relationship with her dad as I did with mine only their dilemma was he wasn't supportive of her coming out of the closet so when that happened she and her dad patched things up and they are completely happy he proudly gave her away at her wedding this past April. so with what happened to my friend's dad I started thinking "what if something bad happened to my dad and he was gone...i could never forgive myself for being mad at him for whatever he did to piss me off" he was still my dad no matter what piss poor choices he had made..he was still my dad. so before my surgery in April (it was my first surgery I was fucking scared) he called me to wish me luck and all of a sudden we just patched things up right there and there.  my point with my experience this year is don't be mad get glad! we should just brush it off our shoulders and enjoy all the little things because in the end those are the things that matter in the end.

(Don't forget!)

also I want to share with you all something I found 10 ways to be happy:

1. Accept the things you can't change. If you can and want to change them, do it.
2. Let go of the people who are holding you down. If you considered them, you already know who there people are.
3. Blast your favorite upbeat song and sing at the top of your lungs, dancing as you go.
4. Go for a run. A nice, long run. Run until you feel good; at the very least, you'll be tired enough that the feelings will seem less major.
5. Call someone you love. Just hearing their voice can make your day better.
6. Smile at a stranger. it will make both of you smile.
7. Send a anonymous compliment.
8.Write down everything you don't like about yourself, rip it up and burn it.
9. Watch your favorite movie.
10. Realize that you are your own biggest critic. People do not see the faults in yourself that you do. So realize that they are not faults, not imperfections. they make you, YOU.

I hope you all have a happy and safe New Year! see you next year! ;-)

Room Tour!

Good morning lovelies!
While I was at work I started pondering….”I’ve been on blogger for a year now and I yet I have not showed you all what my bed room looks like!" So I decided to make this post my room tour! ^_^ (FYI I’m still decorating my room so once I do have I will do a little update sometime next year)

(Bed area)

My awesomely comfortable bed with white lights forming a bed frame along with my favorite canvas of Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at tiffany’s! ( can you tell I love me some polka dots…..along with my bumblebee blanket!)

The MEGA PLUSH volum' Mascara Review

Good morning lovelies!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and for all my UK, Canada, NZ and Aussies Happy Boxing day!
My Christmas was amazing I did nothing at all yesterday just lounged around and watched movies all day like it was no ones business! haha

So a couple weeks ago I went to ulta looking for a waterproof mascara, since the non waterproof ones I had were always making me itch towards the end of the day. so I decided to go with waterproof so far so good. well I decided to get maybelline's "The MEGA PLUSH volum'" mascara which was sort of impulse usually I check the reviews out before getting mascara but I needed it so ya.

this is probably the second Maybeline mascara that I have ever bought the last one I bought was the Falsies and honestly I didn't really like it cause 1. it irritated my eyes and 2. I didn't like the wand. I probably sound like a weirdo right now hahaha a lot of people like it but it just didn't suit me I guess. But with this mascara I really liked how it makes my lashes look longer and I don't feel like my eyes are getting irritated which is a good thing...always a good thing haha.

by the way I love the wand on this thing! it's just perfect! :P

Music Mondays: Christmas songs

Merry Christmas Eve my Lovelies!

for the whole month of December I have been listening to Christmas music almost every other day different times in the day hahaha actually I've started to listen to them like a day before Thanksgiving haha.

I will listen to pretty much any version of "Santa baby", jingle bell rock (btw who else has that scene of mean girls pop up in their head when they listen to jingle bell rock?? lol), This Christmas, I'll be home for Christmas etc..

"Baby, it's cold outside"

"Have yourself a merry little Christmas"

"Carol of the Bells"

So what Christmas songs are your favorite for this Holiday season?

Music Mondays: Ed Sheeran

Lately I have been listening to a lot of Ed Sheeran, I just started getting into his music not too long ago I would always see tweets and images on imgfave about him I got curious and decided to check it out. wen on youtube and the first song I listened of his was "Give me love"....OMFG! I fell in love with that song! pretty much fell in love with the guy hahaha so after hearing this track I decided to check it out on Itunes and bought the album and let me just say I loved every track!

"Give me Love"

"The A-Team"

"Lego House"

This would probably be one of the best albums I've purchased on ITunes. I can't wait to him open for Taylor Swift In May 2013! kinda bummed though cause I just found out he's going to be at Stubbs next month and tickets are sold out! I wasn't surprised he's a great artist.....I still got a couple of weeks till the 19 there's gotta be someone who wants to sell them :P fingers crossed! >.<

Snail Mail Revolution!

Remember when you were in elementary and your class assigned you to a pen pal in a different part of the world?.....I don't unfortunately I never got to really be a part of this I think when schools did it was in the 4th grade (correct me if I'm wrong) and I wasn't living in the US anymore for that grade so i never really got to ever participate in that class event, but I was very well aware what it was. I had always wanted to be a part of that pen pal world....I just didn't know how and where to start so I just randomly started looking up on google and I came up on this website called interpals I found like half of my pen pals on there and the other half on instagram! hahah

I think with technology taking a huge roll in communication we all forgot what it really means to actually take the time to sit down and write a hand written letter to a friend or a loved one, don't get me wrong I love Technology but at the same time you can't really determine or tell what that person's personality is like you can tell a lot from someone hand writing....well at least to me.

I love how busy it keeps me and I love meeting new people so the whole Pen paling and snail mailing is just the cherry on the icicng you get to meet new people know what their interests are, what they do for work and entertainment, learn about their culture. currently I have about 17 pen pals, most are from the states and the rest are from Europe and Asia but I love all my pen pals every single one of them! if your ever interested in having pen pals I say do it cause it's a very enchanting experience and it gives you the opportunity to meet new people.

it's award time!! :D

My wonderful and kick ass friend Mandy from Nestled in Nostalgia has just given me a Liebster blog award! now I've known Mandy for almost 5 years now I love this girl she's such a great friend she has been there for me through thick and thin she is truly one of a kind!

1. If you could be any character in a film, who would you be and why?

If I could be any character in a film I would be the leading lady, Because I well I believe every woman should be the leading lady in their life so if there was a movie based on their life why not be the lead right? :D

2. If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life (a Forever Uniform), what would it be?
That's easy! I would wear my calf high boots with black leggings, my long navy blue v neck shirt and a black cardi. most comfortable clothing ever!

3. Why did you decide to start blogging?

I started blogging about a year ago (nov 21,2011) the reason why I started to blog was because In all honesty I was going through a depression, someone dear to me had been sent to jail so I was very depressed I wasn't going to school and basically I had a lot of time on my hands so one of my cousins told me I should probably start a blog and post all the work I have done with jewelry and homecoming mums, and it started out like that but then I just got into the swing of talking about projects and life a lot of random stuff so being able to blog as much as I can has helped me a lot and overcome my depression and I just started to write more and more of what my thoughts are what I'm currently interested and sharing my experiences and I love every minute of it blogging has become a huge part of me now.

4. What would be on the menu for your last meal?

Yikes! for the menu for my last meal hmmm......what the hell it's my last meal right? I would have wing stop, krispy cream donuts, dairy queen, little inner fatty came out I know LOL

5. How would you spend your perfect day?

A perfect day for me would have to be spending the whole day with my brother and cousin whether it's going to the movies, shopping or just watching tv at home a day with either one of them is a perfect day!

6. If you could take a one day class to learn about anything, what would it be?

hmmm I would probably have to pick sewing, I would love to learn how to sew and how to make my own clothes that would be amazing!

7. What is the ultimate super power, and how would you use it?

oooo! I love this question! if I had any super power I would probably......wait....damn this is hard I'm debating between two...... I would more than likely be magnetism manipulation like Magneto from X-men.....or probably weather manipulation like Storm. and if i had those either of those powers I think I would only use it when I felt like I or my loved ones were in I think I would manipulate the weather when I want a rainy day or snow day! no one would have to go to work or school :P

8. Name the person who's closet you would most like to raid? Real or fiction, dead or alive.

hmmmm that is a good question, honestly I have never thought of it sooooo if I had to pick anyone it would probably be Marylin Manroe cause I would like to know what her house looked like and how she lived.....creeper status! hahahaha

9. What's Number 1 on your bucket list?

My number 1 thing on my bucket list is to spend 3 months back packing through Europe. It's a huge thing for me but sadly with this sad economy it's hard to save a decent amount of money :-/

10. What album can you listen to over and over and never get tired of?

damn....there are so many great albums If I had to pick it would probably be either Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album 30 seconds to mars "This is war" album

11. What are your top five beauty products and why?

-Urban Decay eyeshadow primer
-Stila Illuminating powder foundation
-MAC "Girl about town" lipstick
-Stila Volumizing mascara
-Too faced translucent powder

so for my 5 picks are:

*Victoria @ a Whimsical Melody
*Brandi @ Flair by Brandi
*Nikki @ Craft-hearted
*Amber @ Ink the passion of my life
*Sarah @ Tumbleweed twine

so ladies here are my 11 Questions

1. If you could Travel any part of the world to live out your life where would it be and why?
2. Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
3. if your phone was about to die which social media would you visit before your phone dies?
4. Coffee or Tea?
5. If you were given one ultimate superpower what would it be and how would you use it?
6. what is one album you could listen to over and over again without getting sick of it?
7. Which is your favorite old Hollywood or new Hollywood?
8. If you could go to dinner with 3 people (either you know or famous dead or alive) who would it be and what would you ask them?
9. Top 5 guilty pleasures?
10. How will you be bringing in the new year?
11. what's your top 5 on your bucket list?

Happy November!

Love this time of year!!!

Back from a long absences....

Hello hello Lovelies! I'm back again! after being gone for almost a month!
and I'll Explain why.....

so the last time I wrote on here was the beginning of the month and that was the Warm Bodies book review, so I will explain the reason why I have abandon my blog. so on Oct 9th I had surgery nothing big it was a lap band procedure so I was away from normal activity for a week but to be honest the surgery was rough on me. when I was in recovery after the surgery I couldn't breathe and with that type of procedure after you wake up it's kinda hard to breathe because you have this band that's wrapped around the mouth of your stomach and needles to say it as a very rough morning for me I couldn't breathe properly I had to be on oxygen for a couple of hours and it was painful to burp i think that was the worse thing ever out of the whole procedure, also I was in the most horrible mood ever because I couldn't stay in bed to recover I had to walk around and all that jazz hahaha ya know I love me some sleep. but none the less I'm proud of myself that I went through this procedure in all honesty it's something I did not ever think I would of done but I'm happy I started off being 310 lbs back on Sept 25 and It is Nov 1 and I am proud to say I am down 26.8 lbs! right now I'm 283.2lbs and I'm still going my mom and I talked about me getting the surgery done a couple of years ago...circa 2006 and I told her I don't know I would like to try losing weight on my own and if all else fails then I would consider the thought of  lap band surgery, so 5 years later wasn't able to lose weight all I could lose was 30lbs and I could not go any down any further I was just stuck there and it really did frustrated me which caused me to binge and gain that weight and plus more it's not that I took the easy way out i really really tried everything you name it i tried it so in the end I decided to just stop fighting it and decided to take my last card and this is how you know God is good my insurance was 100% covered I didn't have to pay anything :D on another note I will be creating another page tab on the blog keeping track of my weight loss journey and also adding some recipes as's gonna be a difficult journey but I'm willing to go through it :-)

SOOOOO I am so sorry I have left you guys so abandoned! and I really hope you guys support me with this procedure it would mean a lot to me!

love ya bunches!!!

Warm Bodies book review

Happy Wednesday Lovelies

Remember a couple of months back I might have mention about a book called "Warm Bodies" I had just started to read?.... well I finished it last night! hahaha not that I'm a slow reader..well I sort of am but I get distracted easily and I forget I'm reading a book and noooo the book wasn't boring for me to stop reading it half way and pick it up 4 months later....I couldn't find it.

This has have to be the first book that I have ever encountered where the character telling the story was a Zombie. So Warm Bodies is basically like boy meets girl only it's Zombie meets girl...Zombie falls for girl, The Character's name is "R" and he is questioning his no life status he wants his life to have meaning again. it's pretty much has everything it has drama, comedy and suspense with a hint of Thrill I don't think I will ever see another book like this which I hope there isn't cause then that just means people are going to start re-editing zombies like other books have re-edited Vampires and Werewolf's. However this a must read book it's very entertaining Warning: you will get hooked!

My review for this book:

Enjoy Lovelies!
